Mobile Worlds: capacitar terceiras culturas para uma mobilidade sustent\u00e1vel e inclusiva<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u00c9 um projeto financiado pela Uni\u00e3o Europeia, como bolsa de p\u00f3s-doutorado Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie (MSCA Post-doctoral Fellowship), com sede na Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) em Bergen, na Noruega.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

MobileWorlds explores how we as people might be able to break out of unhelpful boxes \ud83d\udce6 (or even identify the boxes we tend to use) and think anew about individual, group and systemic pathways for our joint futures, and those of generations to come. To do so, MobileWorlds combines insights from various areas Kim and Wendy have worked with, connecting planning with geography, art, postgrowth, economics, history, psychology, children, literature and more.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Kim<\/strong> recently finalised work as Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Post-Doctoral Fellow at HVL (Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Bergen, Norway). She now holds a part-time position as Associate Professor at the same university and continues as collaborating researcher at the Research Centre for Territory, Transports and Environment (CITTA), at the University of Porto.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Kim \u00e9 doutorada em Planeamento do Territ\u00f3rio, na \u00e1rea de aprendizagem social e inova\u00e7\u00e3o social no planeamento participativo. O principal fio condutor de sua pesquisa \u00e9 a busca pela justi\u00e7a social e pela sustentabilidade ambiental; tentando desafiar criticamente os entusiasmos contempor\u00e2neos, permanecendo construtiva na busca de conex\u00f5es entre pesquisa, pol\u00edtica, artes e pr\u00e1tica para tornar isso poss\u00edvel.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A sua tese de doutoramento, \"Planear com Ra\u00edzes e Asas. Reflex\u00f5es cr\u00edticas e construtivas sobre a aprendizagem social no planeamento\", focou na aprendizagem social no planeamento participativo \u201cco-criativo\u201d e sobre como isto conduz ou n\u00e3o a mudan\u00e7as (pequenas e grandes). Os seus interesses de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o incluem Planeamento, Governan\u00e7a, Sustentabilidade, Mobilidade e Espa\u00e7o P\u00fablico, especialmente com uma perspetiva internacional. Tem interesse de pesquisa e experi\u00eancia em transi\u00e7\u00f5es de sustentabilidade sobre os temas acima mencionados.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ela est\u00e1 interessada em liga\u00e7\u00f5es com a hist\u00f3ria socioecon\u00f3mica, o desenvolvimento e a filosofia, particularmente na procura de mudan\u00e7as mundiais social- e economicamente sustent\u00e1veis \u200b\u200b(ver, por exemplo, 'decrescimento'). Ao faz\u00ea-lo, est\u00e1 especialmente interessada em criar intera\u00e7\u00e3o entre mundos acad\u00e9micos e art\u00edsticos (por exemplo, cinema, literatura e fotografia, entre outros).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ela tem experi\u00eancia em estudar e comparar cidades latino-americanas e europeias em particular, com o objetivo de conectar narrativas e conhecimentos do \u201cSul Global\u201d e do \u201cNorte Global\u201d em p\u00e9 de igualdade, sem esquecer as desigualdades persistentes entre os dois.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Besides the Mobile Worlds project, she has also worked on a New European Bauhuaus project called Minante<\/a>, liderado pela NGO RioNeiva-ADA<\/a>, which is closely related to MobileWorlds at least in so far as it is all about co-creation between academia, civil society, municipalities and artists, as well as being about bringing together sustainability, co-creation and aesthetics. She also hosts the Planetary Planning Podcast<\/a>, with important relevance for MobileWorlds in terms of thinking outside the box, and has been hosting a series of Planning Dialogues<\/a>, connecting various planners from diverse generations and areas of expertise to reflect on the future of planning – including exploring the role of art in this, just like Kim does in depth through the MobileWorlds project!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Wendy <\/strong>is Full Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Business, Department of Civil Engineering, at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences in Bergen, Norway. Additionally, she is a senior researcher and lecturer at the Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning chair of the Environmental Sciences Group at Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands. She also serves as the research coordinator for the Foundation of Managing Public Space.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Dr. Tan’s research expertise and interests focus on the implementation of land use and transport integration, mobility issues, and the institutional perspective in planning processes in Europe, America, and Southeast Asia. From 2010-2014, she served as a board member of the Megacities Foundation. She received the Georges Allaert Prize in 2014 for her research contributions to mobility and spatial planning in society. Dr. Tan is also a member of the AESOP transportation thematic group and part of the international advisory board of the journal Urban Policy and Research.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
