Welcome!
Mobile Worlds is a research, networking, and action project, seeking to understand how various cultural backgrounds help shape how people think, and how ‘we’ might ‘change our minds’ – starting with how ‘we’ think about sustainable mobility.
Here’s what we are up to
The project has now ended. We’re finalizing the reporting formalities, and giving continuation several initiatives, social media posting, and other dissemination of the project results. We’ve published our MobileWorlds Toolbox, and you can find out more about the Concepts explored in the project, and some Survey results on their respective pages. You can also read more about the MobileWorlds Festival, and join the ongoing initiative of the “Unbox the Festival” edition. The Read&Write Sessions are also ongoing – do join us! Were continuing work on academic articles (given the lengthy process from submissions to publication), technical reports and more. We have begun sharing key resources on our Library. We’ve carried out 12 workshops, several interviews, presented at conferences, and more! Do check out the News/Blog, Events page (check out past events) and browse the various pages of the website to find out more!
Overall, we’ve sought out understanding about how people break out of common boxes of thought, how culture shapes that, how learning unfolds, how children and adults can learn from each-other’s ways… In the process, we’ve uncovered potentials of and for cross-cultural mobility futures for Bergen (Norway) and Greater Porto (Portugal) – with lessons that might inspire other places, too!
Stay tuned!
