Jo Blake on the intersection of Storytelling, Myth, and Mobilities

During the online edition of the MobileWorlds Festival, Jo Blake provided us with a wonderful performance of a story, specially selected, revised, and introduced for the purposes of this festival, connecting storytelling, myth, and mobilities. We were able to record her performance, and the recording is now available on our website! We are thrilled to share it with you, here.

We invite you to watch and listen to the recording, and be inspired in relation to how powerful it can be to employ storytelling about mobilities, not only in an instrumental way to communicate research for example, but rather also to use ancient stories to reflect on aspects of mobilities that are hidden (sometimes in plain sight) within them – especially when they are performed so expertly.

I hope this demonstrates for you once more the value of interconnecting arts and “science”, as we have emphasised in various ways throughout the MobileWorlds project.
